Our Story

Built on relationships, not religion

Restoring Relationships Community Church began with a simple vision: to restore what matters most-genuine connection with God and with one another. Since 2026, we've grown as a family united by faith and rooted in our Birmingham community. Every Sunday at 11:15 AM and Wednesday at 6:30 PM for Bible study, we gather around one shared conviction: that relationship always comes first.

How it started

A vision for relationships over religion

In 2026, Pastor Alaric O. May set out to build something different: a church where genuine connection would come before tradition, where the focus would be on restoring broken relationships-with God, with each other, and with the community. RRCC was born from a conviction that faith thrives best when lived out in real relationships, not just religious routines.

What began as a passionate vision has grown into a welcoming community in Birmingham. Without elaborate programs or pretense, the church gathers around a simple mission: to know Jesus deeply and to help others experience His love through authentic connection. Every decision, every gathering, every conversation points toward one goal-helping people experience genuine belonging.

Today, RRCC meets on Sunday at 11:15 AM and Wednesday at 6:30 PM for Bible Study. What started as a dream has become a reality where neighbors become family, and faith becomes something lived together. The gatherings may change. The heart of the calling never will.

What carries forward

What we hold on to today

Since our founding in 2026, one commitment has remained constant: we believe relationship comes before religion. Everything we do-from our Sunday gatherings to our Wednesday Bible study-flows from this single conviction. It shapes how we welcome, serve, and grow together.

  • Scripture first, alwaysWe let the Bible set the agenda, not the news cycle or the trends. It has carried Christians for two thousand years and it will carry us too.
  • Relationships over rulesWe believe real faith grows at the table and in genuine connection. Every conversation, every meal, every open door reflects how we worship together.
  • Faithful in our placeWe are not trying to be a famous church. We are trying to be a useful one, right here, to the neighbors God has given us in Birmingham.
